• SnapKast works well with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) versions 1.5.0_01 through 1.6.0_07.
• If SnapKast does not start properly, then you may have an incompatible Java version. It is possible that you may have a JRE newer than 1.6.0_07 especially if you have automatic Java updates enabled.
• Please follow these instructions to obtain the correct JRE:
  1. Uninstall Java
     Click on the start button on the bottom left of your Windows desktop. Then click on Control Panel and then double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon in the Control Panel window that came up. Scroll down until you find the J's (it's in alphabetical order). Look for any program entries in this list that are Java and click on the Remove button for each.
  2. Uninstall SnapKast
     Please follow the instructions to Remove SnapKast.
  3. Download and Install Latest SnapKast
     Please follow these instructions to Download and Install SnapKast. (note: if you've already activated the license, it should still be there even after uninstalling and reinstalling)
  4. Disable Automatic Java Updates
     1. Control Panel > Java
     2. Click the Update tab
     3. Uncheck the "Check for Updates Automatically" checkbox
     4. Click the "Never Check" button in the pop-up window that appears
     5. Click OK
  5. Reboot Your PC
  6. Try using SnapKast again
