Advanced Video Options
SnapKast offers the following options for formatting the output video file:
- Video Resolution - listed from smallest to largest
(note: the Video Bit Rate will auto change as you change
the Video Resolution; you can always re-adjust the Bit Rate if desired):
- 320x240: the default setting. Choose this for playback on
portable devices like video iPod.
- 368x208: Choose this for playback on the PSP.
- 640x480: this is twice as large as the 320x240
resolution and is suitable for playback on a PC.
- 800x600: the second largest and suitable for playback on a PC or projector.
- 1024x768: Extra large format suitable for PC or projector playback.
(Warning! Videos encoded in this resolution will take more time
format and the video file size will be greater);
- Frame Rate - Use the slider to pick a quality
setting between 5 and 15 frames per second. The larger your selection,
the longer the video will take to format and the larger the file size
will be. The default setting is 7 frames per second. This setting affects the
smoothness of the video motion. Thus making this setting too high can result in
blurring of static images (e.g. text in a browser screen shot will be blurred).
If you are creating large resolution videos, it is recommended
that this setting be kept as low as possible for the best output.
- Bit Rate - Use the slider to pick a bit rate
setting between 256 and 1024 kilobits per second. Higher values result in larger files, but clearer
looking images in the output video. For larger resolution videos (greater than PSP),
the bit rate will auto change to higher value; you may re-adjust as desired.
